Being wed with to the person you love is really an unforgettable experience and because of this, you want to share the joy and happiness that you feel by inviting some guest to witness your wedding rites.

It is a standard procedure that you will send wedding invitation to your guests to request their presence on your wedding day. It sets the tone of the big event as well as giving your guest the idea if your wedding will be formal or casual.

If you are a native of India marrying somebody, the preparation on wedding invitation is still the same. The content and the possible style are similar for a

Catholic or a Protestant couple. so , if you are still undecided on how will you plan and prepare for your Indian wedding, read the rest of this article and learn what variations of wedding invitations can you make to have your wedding day a moment to remember.

As mentioned a while ago, the content of an Indian wedding invitation has no difference if you will compare it with other wedding invitations. It traditionally includes the following:

Wedding Invitations

• The mailing envelope where it contains the name of the guest you intend to invite on your wedding day;

• The invitation itself;

• The reception card;

• The RSVP card for the reception and invitation;

• A small envelope for mailing back the RSVP card; and

• Notes or any other useful information with regards to your wedding (such as information about accommodations in the town if your guest will come from a far place).

You may opt to make the presentation of the invitation as simple as possible; sometimes, an email to the guest you want to invite is enough. However, in most Indian wedding rites, the typical wedding invitation is made up of a hard wood box which contains the aforementioned things in dazzling red placed on a cloth line pocket. Sometimes, the photographs of both groom and bride are also included, placing it under the stationery with a pen. To complete the surprise, if you will open the box, the box will play an Indian wedding music.

There are various designs of Indian wedding invitation that you can use. Some of these are as follows:

• You may use an orange card made of woolly silk which has an icon of Buddha on the external part of the card with two inserts. Your main invitation card will be a Ganesha stuck made of a pipul leaf. There are also Sanskrit shlokas that are written on the front part. This is the typical Indian invitation card.

• You may also use a cream-colored self-printed paper which is dotted by swaroski rust. Traditional print as well as the soft hues will really give your guest a unique warmth of appreciation for their presence in your big day.

• You may also use a traditional card embossed with Sanskrit shlok in a white-and-beige combination. The envelope is hand made and has thread strands on it. You may also opt to have the print in gold as well as in silver.

• Another unique design for your Indian wedding invitation is a green Nepalese rice paper which is the material of the folder cover. The inserts are made from hand made khaki silk paper.
